With a bachelor’s degree in economics, Atlanta resident Keri Bennett specializes in revenue cycle management in the healthcare sector, a financial process that uses IT to facilitate patients through their hospital stays, from registration to final payment. During her career, Keri Bennett has served Emory University’s integrated academic healthcare initiative, Emory Healthcare, as the director of revenue management.
Emory Healthcare was established in 2011 as a venture by the university’s Robert W. Woodruff Health Sciences Center. It is the most comprehensive healthcare system in the state of Georgia and aims to improve the health of state residents through education, research, prevention and care. Currently, Emory Healthcare comprises 11 hospitals, 250 provider locations, and 2800 physicians focused on more than 70 different subspecialties.
To recognize the system’s commitment to excellence and innovation in the medical domain, U.S. News & World Report has ranked numerous hospitals in their network as leading institutions in the state. In the 2019-2020 rankings, Emory University Hospital and Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital placed first and second respectively in Georgia and the Atlanta metro area.
