With a bachelor’s degree in economics, Atlanta resident Keri Bennett specializes in revenue cycle management in the healthcare sector, a financial process that uses IT to facilitate patients through their hospital stays, from registration to final payment. During her career, Keri Bennett has served Emory University’s integrated academic healthcare initiative, Emory Healthcare, as the director of revenue management.

Certifications Offered by the HFMA

The Certified Healthcare Financial Professional certification is tailored to those in the healthcare field who require a deep understanding of financials. Free of charge for members of the association, the certification contains two modules: the business of healthcare and operational excellence.

The Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification is the only nationally recognized accreditation that focuses on the contemporary patient-centric revenue cycle. This online-only course offers roughly 14 hours of material and assessment for the student.
